PM Modi leads his way to new Parliament; marks beginning of New India

Marking a new beginning for the Indian Democracy and its politics, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the new parliament building on May 28 in Delhi. The new complex witnessed one of the most gala inaugural ceremonies as the PM also installed the Sengol, the historic scepter from Tamil Nadu. The Sengol has been placed near the seat of the Lok Sabha Speaker, and is a symbol of the transfer of power. Many ‘Adheenams’ were also invited, who performed the holy ceremony while the PM was handed over the Sengol.
