“Modi hai to Mumkin hai” chants reverberate in Port Moresby as PM Modi meets Indian diaspora

Prime Minister Narendra Modi met the Indian diaspora in Port Moresby on May 22. PM Modi received a rousing welcome from the Indian community in Papua New Guinea. “Modi hai to Mumkin hai” chants reverberated in the island nation. PM Modi was in Papua New Guinea for the 3rd FIPIC Summit. Earlier, PNG conferred the ‘Companion of the order of Logohu’ to PM Modi. He was given the accolade for championing cause of unity of Pacific Island countries. The honour comes immediately after Fiji conferred their highest civilian award to PM Modi. Notably, only a handful of Non-Fijians have received ‘Companion of the Order of Fiji’ honour so far.
