India’s new Parliament, Spirit of ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’

Look how India’s new Parliament built which will be dedicated by PM Narendra Modi to the nation on May 28. New Parliament building has a built-up area of about 65,00 sq mt and its triangular shape ensures optimum space utilization. 26,045 MT Steel, 63,807 MT cement and 9,689 In Cubic Meter Fly Ash were used in the construction of new Parliament. New Parliament will reflect the vibrance and diversity of modern India, incorporating cultural and regional arts and crafts. The new building will house larger chambers for Legislature, Lok Sabha will be three times bigger with 888 seats than the previous one. While Rajya Sabha will have a capacity of up to 384 seats. The construction of the new Parliament building is complete now, and the new building symbolises the spirit of Aatmanirbhar Bharat. The present building of the Parliament was inaugurated in 1927, is now going to be almost 100 years old, and lacks convenient arrangements for the sitting of the MPs. Both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha passed resolutions urging the government to construct a new Parliament building Consequently.
