‘Every politician was jealous…’ Australian LoP on PM Modi’s grand event at Qudos Arena Park

As Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at Sydney’s jam-packed Qudos Bank Arena to address community event, he was welcomed with thunderous applause and loud cheers. Impressed by the massive gathering, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese drew parallels between PM Modi’s event and famous American singer Bruce Springsteen’s popularity. “The last time I saw someone on this stage was Bruce Springsteen and he did not get the welcome that Prime Minister Modi has got. Prime Minister Modi is the boss," said Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese. Days after the event, Australia’s Leader of Opposition Peter Dutton quipped that every politician present at the venue was jealous. “Every politician there (Qudos Bank Arena) last night was jealous of the fact that he (PM Modi) was able to get 20,000 people chanting his surname in unison in other side of the world…so I feel it was an extraordinary event and I really acknowledge the work of Indian community in hosting PM Modi,” said Peter Dutton in the Australian Parliament.
