‘Prioritized one family, determined to tarnish my image’: PM’s veiled attack on Congress

Launching a veiled attack on the Congress during the inauguration of the Vande Bharat Express in Madhya Pradesh’s Bhopal, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on April 01 alleged that Congress prioritized just one family during its tenure and is now determined to tarnish his image. Further mocking the Congress party, the PM said that the Vande Bharat Express being inaugurated on April 01 might be taken as an April Fool’s joke by the Congress party. “I was told that the inauguration will be held on April 01. I said that Congress might take it as an April fool’s joke. It showcases our nation’s skill, potential, and confidence. Previous governments were busy creating a vote bank. But this government is dedicated to satisfying the needs of people. The previous government also prioritized just one family. They ignore the poor families of the country. No one was there to think for the well-being of these families. There are some in the nation, who are determined to tarnish my image,” the PM said.
