“Pain of loss is too much…” says grandfather of soldier killed in Poonch terror attack

Five Indian Army soldiers were killed in a terrorist attack that happened in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch sector on April 20. Jawan Sewak Singh who lost his life, hailed from village Bagha of Talwandi Sabo in Punjab’s Bathinda. News of soldier Sewak Singh’s demise shook his family as he was the only son and bread earner in the family. Around 20 days ago, he returned for his duty after spending a time with his family in his village. Notably his Sewak Singh’s father also lost his life in the line of duty during Kargil War, according his grandfather. His family and friends in the village mourned 24-year-old soldier’s supreme sacrifice.
