Defense Secy Inaugurates HAL’s 3rd LCA Production Line,hands over 100th Su30 MKI ROH aircraft to IAF

Defence Secretary, Giridhar Aramane inaugurated the third LCA production line in Nashik on April 07. He also handed over 100th Sukhoi-30 MKI ROH aircraft to Assistant Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal Sarin. The Signal Out Certificate (SOC) of the 100th ROH aircraft was handed over by Mr Saket Chaturvedi, CEO (MiG Complex) to Air Vice Marshal Sarin. The Defence Secretary lauded HAL’s efforts in establishing a new production line for LCA manufacturing unit. IAF had placed an order for 83 LCA Tejas Aircraft which will be developed by HAL. According to the plan, HAL will deliver 73 Tejas Mk 1A and 10 Tejas Mk 1 trainers by 2026. HAL has already set up two LCA manufacturing facilities in Bengaluru. The new production line will enable the Company to enhance LCA MK1A production capacity from 16 to 24 aircraft per year. HAL’s Nashik Division had set up Su-30 MKI Repair and Overhaul (ROH) facility in 2014. The division has achieved a peak overhaul capacity of 20 Su-30 aircraft per year.
