The Punjab Police on March 19 did not rule out the possibility of ‘Waris Punjab De’ chief Amritpal Singh’s plans to flee to Canada via Nepal. Speaking to media persons, DIG Jalandhar Swapan Sharma said, “While interception in Mehatpur, the one in the front car took a leap during the chase. We have recovered the other two cars. We have recovered seven illegal weapons too. They had some Pakistan-ISI links.”
