“Welcome my friend Zelenskyy…” UK PM Rishi Sunak welcomes Ukrainian President

Amid ‘never-ending’ war, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy landed in the United Kingdom on February 8. UK PM Rishi Sunak welcomed his friend Zelenskyy at 10 Downing Street in London amid difficult times. Britain announced an immediate surge of military deliveries to Ukraine and pledged to train its pilots. Britain said the training would ensure Ukrainian pilots were able to fly "sophisticated NATO-standard fighter jets". Zelenskyy said it was a great honour for him to be in Britain and he thanked London for lending its support.
