2023 Aero India: HAL brings back mighty ‘Pawan Putra’ to its supersonic trainer HLFT-42 model
As the magnificent showcase of India’s defence prowess Aero India 2023 nears its culmination, the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited decided to give a remarkable farewell to the defence enthusiasts. The HAL displayed its mighty supersonic trainer aircraft HLFT-42 with Lord Hanuman’s signage on its tail. Earlier on February 14, HAL removed the picture of Lord Hanuman from HLFT-42 model. However, the HAL chairman said there was no ‘specific reason’ for the removal of Lord Hanuman’s signage. The supersonic HLFT-42 is introduced by HAL for the first time at Aero India. The next generation state-of-the-art trainer is expected to play a “critical role” in modern combat aircraft training. The 14th edition of Asia's biggest aero show Aero India 2023 was inaugurated by PM Modi in Bengaluru on February 13.
