Extolling India’s stand on peace and dubbing the country as the one with a tradition of balancing the world powers, Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg on January 02 in Vienna at a joint Press Conference with Union External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar, said that Austria counts on India as the voice of peace and reason. The Austrian FM also called India a good friend. The Austrian FM further supported India in getting the G20 Presidency and called it a good sign.
“We count on India as voice of peace, voice of reason. India always has a tradition of balancing world powers. It is a good sign that India now hold the G20 Presidency. Peace can also be done at the negotiation table, never at the battlefield,” he said.
