Vibrant midnight festivities of Janmashtami from across the country

On the occasion of Janmashtami, devotees rejoiced midnight celebrations across the country on August 20. The Hindu festival of Janmashtami is celebrated to mark the birth of Lord Krishna. Various Ministers and Chief Ministers from different parts of the country offered prayers and sought blessings. Union Home Minister Amit Shah offered prayers at ISKCON temple in Ahmedabad. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel visited Dwarkadhish Temple in Dwarka of Gujarat on August 19.
