External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar addressed the Indian community in Bangkok of Thailand on August 16. During his address, he defended India for importing crude oil from Russia and said that it is the moral duty to ensure best deal for the citizens. Addressing the diaspora, he said, “We have been very honest about our interest. I have a country with per capita income of $2,000, these aren't people who can afford higher energy prices. My moral duty is to ensure best deal.”
