Bengaluru: BBMP in dock as a portion of newly-laid road costing 23 crores caves in

Bengaluru: The road which was repaired ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Bengaluru, caused a major embarrassment to Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP). Around 23 crores were spent to lay tar on 14 km of Bengaluru roads. Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has now asked the BBMP Commissioner to investigate the matter. According to the preliminary inquiry, the road carved in due to the leakage of a water pipe.
