Congress is the only way to a BJP-free country. If KCR wishes it, he should join Congress. However, the Congress does not want any alliance with the TRS party at the state level," he further said.

Considering the nature and gravity of the offence, the NIA later mentioned, the Ministry of Home Affairs' Counter Terrorism and Counter Radicalization (CTCR) division issued an order dated September 16 directing the agency to investigate the matter. Accordingly, the NIA registered the case at its Kochi branch on September 19 under sections 120B and 153A of IPC, Section 13, 18, 18B, 38 and 39 of Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act against PFI and 13 others namely-- Karamana Ashraf Moulavi, Abdul Sathar (State General Secretary, PFI, Kerala), Sadiq Ahmed (District Secretary, PFI, Pathanamthitta), Shihas (Zonal Secretary, PFI), Ansari P (Joint Convener, PFI, Nadakkal Division), M M Mujeeb (Divisional Convener, PFl Nadackal Erattupetta Division), Najumudeen (Divisional Convener, PFI Mundakkayam), Sainuddeen T S (District Secretary, PFI, Kottayam), P K Usman alias Pallikkaranjalil Kunjippu Usman alias Usman Perumpilavu (Member, NGA, PFI), Yahiya Koya Thangal (State Executive Council member, PFI, Kerala), C A Rauf (State Secretary, Media and PR wings, PFI, Kerala), K Muhammedali alias Kunhappo (National in-charge, Expansion wing, PFI), and CT Sulaiman (District President, PFI Kasaragod). Accordingly, after obtaining search warrant under section 93 CrPC from the special court in Kerala, the NIA said, searches were conducted at the residential premises of all the FIR named accused as well as the offices of Popular Front of India on September 22 and various articles and documents were seized. "The seized documents also contain highly incriminating materials related to the targeting of prominent leaders of a particular community," mentions the document accessed by ANI. "The hit list seized clearly shows that the PFI, which is working through its leaders, members and associates have gone far ahead in creating atrocities among the community," added the agency. Citing these inputs, the NIA further informed the court that more investigation is required in this aspect not only to obtain more evidence but also to prevent blood baths in society. During the investigation, based on the materials collected, the NIA further said, it has been disclosed that the "accused named in the FIR were actively involved in the organized crimes and Unlawful Activities repeatedly to terrorise other religious sections of the society besides creating fear in the mind of the general public based on the larger conspiracy hatched among themselves and others". "The initial scrutiny of the materials collected and investigation conducted, also points out the incriminating roles played by the accused in this case. During the interrogation, Delhi Police asked Nora, who had invited her to the charity event in Tamil Nadu. To this, Nora took the name of Afsar Zaidi. Its booking was done through her agency Exceed Entertainment Private Limited and was organised by LS Corporation and Nail Artistry. The police further told Nora about Sukesh's claim, where he said that Nora had insisted on a BMW 5 Series Car for attending the event, a claim which Nora denied stating that she was gifted the car instead as a "token of love and generosity". Nora was further asked about her reply to the BMW offer, to which she said that she refused the offer as she already had a BMW. She was also asked whether she had met Leena and Pinky at the event and if she had received any gifts from them.Nora answered Delhi Police that Leena met her at an event and gifted her a Gucci bag and an iPhone. She also said that Leena connected her call with her husband, who according to Leena was a big fan of Nora. As per Nora, it was this time only when she was informed that she is being gifted a BMW. Nora also claimed that she received a call from Shekhar alias Sukesh after this, and she gave her cousin's husband named Bobby's number to him for future dealings. When asked, when exactly she found Sukesh suspicious, Nora answered that when she started receiving calls and texts regularly from Sukesh, and when he started luring her with gifts, she understood his intentions and broke all relations with him and his managers. Earlier on Wednesday, Jacqueline Fernandez also appeared before the EOW, where she was interrogated by putting her in front of Pinky Irani. According to sources, Jacqueline and Pinki Irani engaged in a war of words during the Delhi Police interrogation on Wednesday. Earlier on September 2, Nora Fatehi was grilled by the EOW officials for over nine hours and was asked roughly around 50 questions. Police officials said that questioning so far has surfaced that Nora and Jacqueline Fernandez who has also been linked with Sukesh Chandrashekhar, were both unaware of each other receiving gifts. According to sources, Sukesh initially tried to trick Nora only, but once he wasn't successful in his attempt, he tried his hands on Jacqueline. Not just Jacqueline, but as per sources, Sukesh used to lure even those near Jacqueline with expensive gifts. He gifted Jacqueline's hair-stylist an iPhone and also booked a hotel in Kochi for her birthday party. Sukesh Chandrashekhar has been accused of running an extortion racket worth Rs 200 crore when he was lodged in Rohini jail, from Aditi Singh, the wife of jailed former Ranbaxy owner Shivinder Singh, posing as officials from the union law ministry and the PMO, on the pretext of getting her husband out on bail. Sukesh Chandrashekhar, a native of Bengaluru in Karnataka, is currently lodged in a Delhi jail and faces over 10 criminal cases registered against him.

Earlier today, Singh sought to blame Nitish Kumar over the firing incident in Begusarai which claimed the life of one person and injured nine others on Tuesday evening. Spirit of Bharat Jodo Yatra is to bring Indians together, irrespective of religion, community: Rahul Gandhi

Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala)-Congress MP Rahul Gandhi on Monday said that the spirit of the Bharat Jodo Yatra is to bring Indians together irrespective of religion, community and remind them that this is one country and it will be successful if we stand together and are respectful towards each other. While addressing the people, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi said, "The spirit of this yatra is to bring Indians together regardless of religion, community and remind them that this is one country and it will be successful if we stand together and are respectful to each other." Congress' Bharat Jodo Yatra entered its seventh day on Tuesday. Party leaders led by Rahul Gandhi started the march from Kaniyapuram today. The Yatra is in its Kerala leg and would traverse through the state for the next 17 days. Taking to Twitter, Rahul Gandhi said, "India's dream is broken, not scattered. To accomplish the dream, we are connecting India. 100 km done. And, we have just begun." The 3,500-km march from Kanyakumari to Kashmir will be completed in 150 days and cover as many as 12 states. From Kerala, the Yatra will traverse through the state for the next 18 days, reaching Karnataka on September 30. It will be in Karnataka for 21 days before moving north. The Padyatra (march) will cover a distance of 25 km every day. A political row erupted after Congress posted a picture of a burning pair of RSS shorts on Twitter. Bharatiya Janata Party Yuva Morcha President Tejasvi Surya said the picture depicted that the fire Congress has stoked in the past has burned their political fortunes in the country. Earlier Congress tweeted a picture of burning 'Khakhi' shorts and wrote, "To free the country from shackles of hate and undo the damage done by BJP-RSS. Step by step, we will reach our goal". The INC tweet came in light of the current Bharat Jodo Yatra which marks day 6 today. In a series of tweets, Survya recalled various incidents of violence in the past including the Delhi Sikh riots in 1984 and Godhra incident in 2002 where Karsevaks were burnt alive. The BJP leader hit out at Rahul Gandhi who is leading the Yatra and is currently in Kerala, and said that he is "fighting against the Indian state". Making a scathing attack on Rahul Gandhi for meeting controversial Catholic priest George Ponnaiah, Union Minister Ajay Bhatt on Sunday slammed him for supporting people who want to divide India and said that Congress has been opposing every decision of PM Modi including the scrapping of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir and the surgical strikes in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK). Reacting to Catholic priest George Ponnaiah's controversial statement "Jesus Christ is the real God, not like Shakti," Bhatt said that Rahul Gandhi is meeting "divisive personalities, Congress has consistently stood in support of former party president Rahul Gandhi on the priest controversy." "Initially it talked about containers and later about Rahul Gandhi's shirt and shoes. Tomorrow it will raise some other frivolous issues," party leader Jairam Ramesh said at Neyyattinkkara in Thiruvananthapuram district. "We just started our yatra but it seems the BJP is really worried over the unprecedented response it is getting. We can gauge it from its leaders' reactions. Like PM Modi he is not spending public money on his clothing," Ramesh said. According to Congress, the 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' is being held to combat the divisive politics of the BJP-led Centre and to awaken the people of the country to the dangers of economic inequalities, social polarisation, and political centralization. The Yatra includes Padayatras, rallies, and public meetings which will be attended by the senior Congress leaders including Sonia Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. Notably, all the party MPs, leaders, and workers along with Rahul Gandhi are staying together. Sleeping beds, toilets, and ACs are also installed in some of the containers. During the journey, the temperature and environment will differ in many areas. The arrangements have been made keeping in view the intense heat and humidity with the change of place. The Congress suffered a debacle in the assembly polls held earlier this year and the Yatra is seen as an attempt to rally the party rank and file for the upcoming electoral battles.

Delhi liquor scam: Anurag Thakur calls AAP 'bewdi sarkar'

Hamirpur (Himachal Pradesh) : Amid the ongoing faceoff between Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over the alleged liquor scam, Union Minister Anurag Thakur on Monday called AAP a "bewdi sarkar" and alleged that Delhi Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister were involved with the mafia in the liquor scam. Speaking to media persons in Hamirpur, the Union Minister said they are encouraging the liquor mafia. "The Health Minister of Delhi government is in jail, while the Health Minister of AAP-led Punjab government was also in jail. Imagine the condition of the government whose ministers are in jail for corruption. They are encouraging the liquor mafia. AAP doesn't have an answer to it. It is a corrupt government. This is the identity of Arvind Kejriwal-led Bewdi sarkar," said Thakur. "The AAP government is known for their corruption," he added, stating, "Manish Sisodia is involved in a huge scam while Arvind Kejriwal is the kingpin of corruption. AAP is unable to provide an answer till today. Its silence on the liquor scam for 15 days now says a lot," he said. The excise policy was passed in Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal-led Delhi Cabinet in the middle of the deadly Delta Covid-19 pandemic in 2021. The Delhi government's version is that the policy was formulated to ensure the generation of optimum revenue, and eradicate the sale of spurious liquor or non-duty paid liquor in Delhi, besides improving user experience. The Delhi government's version is that the policy was formulated to ensure the generation of optimum revenue, and eradicate the sale of spurious liquor or non-duty paid liquor in Delhi, besides improving user experience. The CBI had filed a case against alleged corruption in the 2021-22 excise policy. The excise policy was subsequently withdrawn by the AAP government. Earlier this month, CBI raids on Manish Sisodia's official residence in connection with the alleged corruption in the implementation of Delhi's Excise Policy. Sisodia was among 15 others booked in an FIR filed by the CBI. Excise officials, liquor company executives, dealers, some unknown public servants and private persons have been booked in the case. It was alleged that irregularities were committed including modifications in the Excise Policy and undue favours were extended to the license holders including waiver or reduction in licence fee, an extension of L-1 license without approval etc. However, Sisodia and the AAP have said the corruption allegations are politically motivated. Sisodia had alleged on August 22, that he has received an offer by the BJP to join them by splitting the AAP in return for getting the cases of CBI and ED against him closed.

Gujarat has become centre of drugs: Rahul Gandhi

Ahmedabad (Gujarat) : Hitting at the BJP government in the state, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Monday said that Gujarat has become the centre of drugs. "Gujarat has become the centre of drugs. All drugs are moved from Mundra port but your government doesn't take any action. This is the Gujarat model. Gujarat is one state where you have to take permission before protesting; permission from those against whom protest will be done," said Rahul Gandhi. He further said if Congress comes to power in Gujarat, farmers' debts upto Rs 3 lakhs will be waived off. "Sardar Patel was the voice of the farmers... BJP on one side makes his tallest statue and on the other side, works against people for whom he fought... if we come to power in Gujarat, we will waive off farmers' debts upto Rs 3 lakhs," he said in Ahmedabad. Earlier on Sunday, Rahul Gandhi came down heavily on the Narendra Modi-led Central government and said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) are dividing the country and a sense of fear has engulfed the minds of people about " their future, inflation and unemployment and that's turning them towards hate.""Hatred is rising in India. Fear of inflation and unemployment is increasing in India, and due to this hatred is rising. BJP and RSS dividing the country and creating fear in the country. Who gets the benefit of this fear? Is it poor, farmer, or small traders who are getting any benefit from the Narendra Modi government? Only two industrialists in the country benefitting from this fear and hatred," said Congress MP. He further said that the Modi government's policies are benefitting only two big industrialists. "BJP giving all the benefits to two people. Now see Narendra Modi did demonetisation. Did it help the poor? The three farm laws that were withdrawn later by the govt were not for farmers but it was for those two industrialists only. But the farmers came on the road and showed their power to Narendra Modi and when PM Modi saw this, he had to take back the three farm laws," he said. The Congress leader further said that the Modi government broke the backbone of small and medium enterprises. "In one way, you are being affected by unemployment and secondly, you are hit by the price rise. Narendra Modi asks what has Congress done in seventy years. I will say this, that in seventy years, Congress has not shown such price rise to the country and when the Opposition wants to raise the issue in Parliament then Narendra Modi's government doesn't allow it. Whether it is farmers' issue or China," he added. Speaking on the misuse of Central probe agencies, Rahul Gandhi said that he is not afraid of Enforcement Directorate (ED) and their questioning. "The ED asked me to sit for 55 hours but I am not afraid of your ED. Whether it is 55 hours or five months or five years," he said.

Azad's exit won't have major impact on Congress in J-K: Party sources

New Delhi- The Congress is not in any trouble with Ghulam Nabi Azad's exit, however, there could be some impact on a few seats in the Chenab Valley and surrounding areas in the Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir, party sources said. This comes as political activity in J-K has picked up pace in anticipation of Assembly polls. The party alleged that Azad never allowed any leader to grow in Jammu and Kashmir while adding that the people who left the party because of Azad, will rejoin the party soon. Party sources said that Azad had been planning to leave Congress for the last two years, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, he delayed taking the decision. "In the last seven-eight years, Azad did not participate in any AICC programme held in Jammu and Kashmir. The people who left the party because of Azad will rejoin the party soon. Azad had been planning to leave the Congress party for two years, but due to Covid, there was a delay in taking the decision. Ghulam Nabi Azad's nexus is with the BJP and Azad is also getting the support of central agencies in the state," the sources alleged. It further said that Azad is part of a bigger conspiracy, speaking on someone else's script adding that the people of Jammu and Kashmir will soon know for whom he is working. Talking about these big allegations, a source working for the Jammu and Kashmir unit of Congress said that the party is not in any trouble with Azad's exit. However, there could be some impact on a few seats in the Chenab Valley and surrounding areas. "The strategy of the Congress is clear, the state president and working president will go to all the assembly seats in the state and a large number of people will join the Congress party. Those of the Congress party who used to benefit from Azad have gone and will go further. People like former Deputy Chief Ministers Tarachand and Manohar Lal, who used to come to the Congress till a day before Azad left the party and said that we will explain to Azad Saheb, also left the party," the sources said. Speaking on the allegations levelled by Azad on the Congress, the source said that Azad's statement that the party did not consider the opinion of the state committees is completely wrong. "Rahul Gandhi himself talked to Azad to find out what problem he has with the Congress but Ghulam Nabi Azad never gave a clear answer," the source said. The Congress party was expecting that Azad would say something on the Bilkis Bano issue, but he kept quiet which made the party uncomfortable.Talking about the regional parties with which the Congress will form an alliance for the assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir, he said that the Congress will look into the possibilities of an alliance with the National Conference. Former Union Minister Azad, who quit the Congress last week and has decided to float a political party and will hold a public meeting on September 4 at Sainik Colony in Jammu. This will be his first meeting since he snapped his nearly 50-year-long association with Congress. Azad has said that he will launch a new party soon and the first unit will be formed in Jammu and Kashmir in view of impending assembly polls. Azad was Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir from 2005 to 2008. With Azad signalling that he will float a new party, several leaders have resigned from the Congress in Jammu and Kashmir. Former Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand is among 64 leaders who have resigned from the Congress. In an indication of his political stock even as he has resigned from Congress, three party leaders who are members of Group of 23 met him at his residence in the national capital on Tuesday. Azad was also a member of G-23. In his resignation letter to Sonia Gandhi, Azad had targeted party leadership, particularly Rahul Gandhi, over the way the party has been run in the past nearly nine years. In the hard-hitting five-page letter, Azad had claimed that a coterie runs the party while Sonia Gandhi was just "a nominal head" and all the major decisions were taken by "Rahul Gandhi or rather worse his security guards and PAs". Azad had said he was submitting his resignation with "great regret and an extremely leaden heart" and severing his about the 50-year association with the Congress. He was earlier Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha. Recounting his long association with the Congress, Azad had said the situation in the party has reached a point of "no return." "Unfortunately, the situation in the Congress party has reached such a point of no return that now 'proxies' are being propped up to take over the leadership of the party. This experiment is doomed to fail because the party has been so comprehensively destroyed that situation has become irretrievable. Moreover, the 'chosen one' would be nothing more than a puppet on a string," he said. While Azad took potshots at Sonia Gandhi in the letter, his sharpest attack was on Rahul Gandhi and he described the Wayand MP as "non-serious individual" and "immature".
